Our History: from the 1960s to the present

for 60 years

Family run for three generations Our family was a pioneer in the tourism industry on the Riviera. In the early 1960s, in fact, the Adriatic Riviera was beginning to become a destination for tourists from all over Europe, with facilities that, little by little, were being increasingly improved.

It was exactly in 1960 that Luminari Ezechiade, grandfather of the current managers, built the Grand Hotel Excelsior through his construction company. From that time, he entrusted the management of the hotel to his daughter Franchina Luminari and her husband Balzani Aldo. After decades, the three grandchildren of Ezechiade took the helm of the hotel. As of today, they still run the hotel.

One of the first hotels established in Senigallia Our history is about experience and growth: over the years, we have been able to invest more and more in quality, ensuring a better wellness experience for our guests. We have kept evolving, just as the generations of vacationers have changed from the 1960s to today.

Nevertheless,

we want to continue to retain that spirit that has marked us since our beginnings: authenticity, passion, and love for our area, while always keeping an eye on the future.
